4 Years – 6 Years

In our full-day Pre-K program, we utilize the “Handwriting Without Tears” curriculum. This curriculum focuses on readiness and writing, language and literacy, and numbers and math. Each student will learn how to form their letters correctly, as well as learn how to hold a crayon and pencil correctly. Our students will leave the Pre-K room with a grasp of their letters (upper case and lower case) and sounds. Your child will learn basic math concepts in conjunction with identifying and writing numbers 1-20.

Each day we conduct a variety of group activities at circle time; for example, Mat Man, Alphabet Cereal and Letter Hunt. The students will also get one-on-one time with their teacher to practice their specific needs and skills. The students will participate in a daily art project that reinforces the weekly theme and curriculum, allowing creativity and self-expression. Students also enjoy exploring their classroom with the many toys and tools we have to offer.

Outside Activities (all ages)

Our playground and open space allow for energy expenditure as well as gross motor play and cooperative activities. Our play spaces are enclosed and utilized exclusively by Little Steps. Children are fully supervised with appropriate student-teacher ratios.
